Books, Records, CDs and Photos
|
Books should either be packed flat (spines alternating) or vertically (as on a bookshelf) with spines alternating with bottoms touching the bottom of the box. Never pack books with spines up as spines may be damaged.
Record albums and CDs should be packed on edge. It is a good idea to place a layer of crushed paper in the bottom of the box and to reinforce the ends of the box with books or cardboard. Do not pack these items excessively tight or pack other breakables in with these items.
Pack photographs, videos and slides separate from other household items that may damage them.
